Week Three Update

Ok here's the defense to pick up this week. If you're carrying an underperformer then realize that they will end up in the top eight or maybe higher. They have pride and will assert that to try to win games most of the year.

McGahee is the only other player here to have. And he wont be too prolific.

keep an eye out for an emerging receiver, but, don't look to hard.

102. Lee Evans

Solid cannon fodder player. Let someone else buy into the hype.

Buffalo is a bad team that will be competing for the top draft pick. If Dilfer shines in the second half of the season they may be able to wrench it away from San Fransisco.

He's here on the list because he's a #1 receiver on an N.F.L. team; which means he will have more opportunity then the #3s leftover.

He will have one or two explosive games like last year, but, steady production is what's most important and he wont give it to you.

If at the end of the draft he's still there then take him with your last or second to last pick, because, you never know, and his #1 position means he could become a focal point of offensive scoring, what little there will be, and, he would be a good, match-up, extra receiver to plug in occasionally.

Plus, if I'm all wrong, and Buffalo gels, then he is a sleeper; yet, to take him too high is wasting a pick.

35. Willis McGahee

I'm hearing a lot of positive things coming out of Buffalo lately, and also seeing the desperation in Takeo Spikes voice. Do you think he wishes he'd stayed in Cincinnati?

This could be a great year for McGahee. He's clearly the quality talent at this point.

But, will it amount to anything.

The Bills were terrible and will struggle to split with the Jets.

There are so many things wrong with this team that I'm simply putting McGahee on my cannon fodder list and looking for other prospects.

I mean the guy had 13 touchdowns two years ago, what happened?

Classic example of a team imploding into itself.

Lack of a competent passing attack allowed defenses to stack the box and force Buffalo to score through the air.

Their schedule is very hard. Could battle for the top draft pick in '07, but, will probably finish with a 5-11 record.

Because of the thirteen touchdowns and the lack of a dominant receiving corps, he is another good gamble at this point in the talent pool when starting back gambles are becoming scarce.

Someone will take him early, but, he could end up on my team if he's there in six or seven. Could happen.

I like Kelly Holcomb, but, he is not the answer.

A proud franchise, and, a cautionary lesson in poor decision making.
